We became part of CUPE back in 1989 as Local 3376. As time went on and the times in the Province changed, we decided to join a Provincial union. So, along with other CUPE locals in the Province we became part of CUPE Local 3999, Social Service Local of B.C. We were a part of this local for five (5) years until its break up. At that time we petitioned National to have our old local number back. In March of 2004 we recieved notification from National that we will once again be recognized as CUPE Local 3376. We currently have 93 members and growing.
